The Story Behind The Brand

Before Become People-Centric was founded in July 2024, the brand name was Become Customer-Centric.

Before Become Customer-Centric was founded in March 2021, the brand name was PRWD.

PRWD was founded by Paul Rouke back in September 2004.

From the humble beginnings, PRWD stood for Paul Rouke Website Design, but Paul later updated what PRWD stood for, thinking ahead to if he would end up hiring someone, so PRWD would no longer just be himself.

PRWD was changed to standing for “PRofessional Website Design” - I can smile about it now!

As PRWD grew, the PRofessional Website Design definition was dropped, and the strapline of “Specialists In User Experience” was introduced into the brand logo.

As the agency continued to grow and evolve, questions continued to be asked by people 1st coming to hear about PRWD, including “So what does PRWD stand for?”

After 14 incredible years, in January 2021 PRWD closed its doors, having reached the end of its time as a leading digital agency specialising in customer experience, customer-centricity and conversion optimisation.

2 months later, in March 2021, Paul launched the new consultancy, with a name which didn’t need any explanation unlike PRWD - Become Customer-Centric.

During the next 3 years Paul provided business consultancy and behavioural research services for a few brands, in particular Allianz, one of PRWD’s most prestigious clients alongside brands like Nike and Red Bull.

Suddenly, in June 2024, Paul sat down with ministry partner Joseph Belibi, and the beginning of a new business partnership was birthed. Joseph was going to join Paul within Become Customer-Centric, but it was much more than this. Become Customer-Centric was going to go through a rebrand and relaunch, with the new, more encompassing name and proposition…

Become People-Centric was born.

The Become People-Centric Maturity Model was established.

The website that you are viewing now started being designed and developed.
